ok so i decided to keep the 4x4 floor shifter and buy a extention dose anybody know the thread size on it so i can purchase one

I wanna guess and say its 7/16 fine thread. Best thing to do and what I do a lot of times is take said part (in this case your shifter knob) to a hardware store and start fitting bolts in the threaded hole and bingo you'll find the correct size.
