Hello all, I just bought a 2001 Dodge Ram or shall I say a 2001 project. Well anyway, I know nothing about lifts, I cant find any distinguishing marks on it to tell me manufacture or type lift. It may even be some home made stuff as far as i can tell. The truck currently has 46" tires on it which I believe are way to big. I am switching to 35" tires next couple of days, but I need some help identifying what I actually have so that I can order new parts. Is there anyone can help me identify? Seems like it has been broke before and someone done some welding on it. The blocks in the back measure 6" I would think that would mean I have a six inch lift but like I said, I know nothing about lifts So how can I know what type and size the lift is?20210922_153253[1].jpg20210922_153222[1].jpg20210922_153416[1].jpg20210922_153421[1].jpg

That is some buggered, butchered up s**t there. Unfortunately I say strip ALL of the suspension out of the truck and throw it in the scrap pile.
That would not even pass the most lenient DOT state insp.

Looks homemade and super sketchy to me. Maybe it's the pic angle, but I dont even know what is going on in that second pic. Unless you're only using it to play in the mud, I'm with Brian2081- replace it all.

It does look home made... Might want to check with the 2nd gen folks as well.

Also, with that much lift, 35s might be a bit small. Dropping to 40s would be awesome, though the 46s look badass.

Edit: corrected to 2nd gen, thanks @crazykid1994 for the correction.

Definitely homemade. No clue on lift height without seeing the whole thing better but I’d say more than 6”. The rear block is not 6”. The bottom block is the stock bump stop block but they may also have used lift leafs. If possible post a picture of the rear leaf springs and the mounting points.

It’s still a 2nd gen. No reason to ask 3rd gen?
