I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 with a mag v8 5.9 and the engine is dead. Can I put a 1995 dodge v8 engine in it? If anyone can help thanks

I am not sure if the computers would match up. I hope someone else chimes in. How the heck did you kill a 360? They are pretty much tank worthy

I believe if you take the long block minus intake and throw it in the truck with all of your current accessories you should be fine. The base engine would be the same it is the vacuum lines and sensors and stuff like that that will be different.
