Can anyone help me . I have a 02 ram with blown 4.7 an a 03 with good 4.7 . Am I able to swap the motors ? I called dodge they said no because there different block numbers . Can't I just use the 03 block an put the 02 parts on it ??

After some searching it looks like the crankshaft sensor tone rings are different, 16-tooth on the '02 and 32 tooth on the '03. The number of PCM connector pins should be different as well, 3 pin on the '02 and 4 pin on the '03. I found all this info on another forum.

Then I would think it should work. You could take off the oil pans and compare tone rings to be certain. As far as I know the only other difference from '02 to '03 should be the TCM which you can swap. Maybe someone else who knows more about the 4.7L will chime in.
