After reading this thread yesterday I was getting onto the freeway and this POS chevy sedan thought he'd pass me before the 2 on-ramp lanes became 1. I told my son, "I don't think so" and floored it. He had no chance.

Nice to see I was actually helping my engine doing that too!

I just got my Trinity all set up and put one of the tunes on, and i have only gotten about 130 miles out of my tank so far and im sitting just above half. I cant help it though. I love the feel of the power, and the best part is, I havent even gotten the custom tunes from sean yet. I cant wait!

What is it about mustang owners that think they are fast from the lot? I wonder if they try to go back and get their money back after having their butts kicked by a Hemi foot.

Lots of vehicles are fast, but theres just something "funner" about a Hemi. I definately have "Hemi-foot" and I definately get the "looks from the wife, usually accompanied along with the," there goes a quarter tank" comments.

I don't think ANY new mustang has to worry about a HEMI. Hell , I bet the new 3.5 V6 could hand a HEMI its ass all day long.

Unless were talking modded. And again, im not sure mine could stomp on a new stang v6

HEMI foot is fun with 3.92's and 400+ ft lbs. You could probably say CIVIC foot is fun (lots of mods) but it just wouldn't be cool!

Lets compare apples to apples. The Hemi in a Ram is not going to keep up with a Mustang. But take a Hemi in a Charger or Challenger and it's a whole new argument.

Would be close. I can't say from experience. I've only driven 1 Charger and it had the V6, but that thing was very quick for a V6. Just sayin' it would be a better comparison than a Ram and a Mustang. Assuming we're all talking stock.

They're both fast cars. I think it would come down to a driver's race.

My now departed 88 5.0 LX did 0 to 60 in about 6.3 with a top speed of 143, so you guys can do the math, but thats not why I'm posting.

Hello, my name is ExpressRules and I'm a Hemi Footer.

Yesterday I was driving home and at a traffic light came side by side with a BMW 328. When the light changed i accelerated briskly and noticed the BMW was pretty heavy into the peddle in a way that made me believe he was not a hemi believer. So as he started to pull ahead slightly my foot suddenly gained weight with that pulled back with him. He didn't like that and kept accelerating hard, but it was useless.

As traffic was forming at the next intersection I came off the throttle and actually laughed out loud. It was a satisfying moment.

Is there a cure for this affliction?? Would a Hemi Foot Anonymous group be helpful??

There is no cure. It's kind of like cowbell.... The only cure is MORE HEMI FOOT!

Yea, I had to cure my HEMI Foot for a while. Was taking a hit on my wallet! So had to park my baby and cover her with a cover. Foot beginning to itch tho.

I don't know about that. My dads 6.1 challenger has yet to lose to either a new mustang or camaro.

Ive had 3 new 5.0's. 2 2011's and a 2013 that I put a Paxton Supercharger on. A stock 6.1 Challenger will not beat a new stock 5.0 with equal drivers in both cars. Im probably the least brand loyal person you'll ever meet, but the new 5.0 in a straight line is quicker then either the 6.1 challenger or camaro ss. The newer 6.4 challengers are pretty quick, but they are also $45k+ cars. You can get into a new 5.0 mustang for $28k.

With a tune and x-pipe my 2011 Mustang trapped just about 118mph. I think alot of people underestimate just how quick they really are.

Yup, Never been a huge mustang fan, but the new 5.0 is nasty and like you said doesn't take much to make them fast..

Take it as you will guys but I'm yet to have either if those cars beat his 6.1. Call them cars slow all you want. But neither of them two cars has out performed his without having more done to it than his has on it.

There are some Mustangs

That are kinda quick...
That one next to my Hemi is my wife's daily... She still has to give daddy some sugar to drive his big Hemi cause like it or not, a mustang, even a Roush 5XR stage II 625+++ HP is no replacement or fix for Hemi Foot....
It's not just a numbers thing, if you don't get that, your never gonna.
