Sorry to have to ask in another thread but I'm stuck out of desperation. How would I find out if a newer 5.7 would work in place of my 09 Ram 5.7 without programming the pcm. I've posted a thread but I'm new to this. I'm sorry again I don't know what else to do.

JBA 1 7/8" torque

do you guys have the torque specs for the headers to add to this list

Im sure it depends on the headers you are using. I know the JBA LT 1 7/8" call for 17ft lbs.

it' a good thing I found your post on rocker arm rail torque. We almost torqued them to 105 ft lbs not inches. Why would Haynes put inches in the manual when all torque wrenches are in feet? Thanks

So I went to torque the screws on the cam thrust plate and 1 snapped. Does anyone know where I can find these. They are M5x10 T27

What is a good set of bolts to use when changing to long tube headers? Stage 8, ARP?

Use the ones that come with the headers Lyle. You only torque a set of headers to 20 lb-ft at most, and even a grade 3 bolt will handle that.Whens the last time you ever heard of anybody breaking a header bolt,it's very uncommon.Stay away from Stage 8's,you can't get the clips on all the bolts, and you'll want to burn the truck to the ground if you ever have to take the headers back off with Stage 8's.Use a good gasket like a Remflex 6022,retorque them once after a few heat cycles, and call it good.20lb-ft is just past snug with a 6" rachet,as you'll only be able to get a torque wrench on a few of the bolts, and use it to judge how tight you have to tighten the bolts you can't get a torque wrench on

This was back in 2019 lol. I just used the stock bolts with the Flepro gaskets. If I would have known sooner, I would have bought the Remflex gaskets. No leaks to date.

Damn i never even noticed the date on your post,i don't know if Red noticed it either, lol

What about the sequence of torque for heads and intake manifold? Does anyone have that?
