    V6. I own one big horn 16 crew 14k miles paid $23.3 before tax 4-5 months ago. Original asking price was $28. Ymmv but I'm sure truck similar to mine could be had for les than that now. I've seen some advertised for $24 as of last week.

    I always negotiate my buy it price at trade in value of whatever I'm buying. Then move up to a max of $1k above trade in value. I tell them I'll let them have that much in profit. A few said no and called back a week too late. The salesman who I bought from made a quick $300-500. I came test drove negotiated for 30 mins and signed paperwork in about two hours total. Easy money for the salesman and dealership. The ones that said no is waiting for a bigger fish. I told them I was the sure bet, less money but it's more money than none.

    Best part of buying used is you know the max that they paid for the truck. And no they never pay over trade in.
