I'm looking to pick up a short block to rebuild for my 2003 1500. It has the 5.7L Hemi. I found a rebuildable block from a 2013. I would need to use my heads and intake on it. Would it work for my truck, or do I absolutely need to find one from a 2003-2005?

You need one from 03-08 or 09 for it to be plug and play I forget which but no a 13 won't accept much of any of your parts that I Know of off your existing engine.

The 4th gen have a different engine tone ring count. I think it is 03 thru 06 block is what you want. Unless you using a crank kit. Then you can order it with the early tone ring.

Any 03-08 block will work for you, 09 and up will not.
