Low-beams and fogs just back to the stock harness on each side. No biggie.
The relay harness for the hi-beam/DRL's. Hot to battery, ground to body panel. Used the factory hot and ground to trip the relay on the battery side. The relay/controller goes directly to the ballasts for my hi-beams. (Both).
The hi-beam factory wire is not used on the passenger side.
When my new housings come in, I'll go to a 2nd relay/controller. 1 for hi's and 1 for lows.
I'm getting a bit of a flicker on the passenger low on fire up. Going this way will also eliminate using any of the factory wires on the passenger side and your getting the power directly from the battery to the ballast's.
If you use the relays in a quad set-up like this, your only using 2 powers and 2 grounds.
I know a site where mine came from that has a great, easy to understand schematic. The power and ground are right beside the controller on my set-up from the company that my equipment is from. Search Lumenshid. Look at the install for DRL's.
Or hit up Jeremy from Retroshop to help you out.
It sounds more intimidating than it is. The hardest part was finding a place to mount the ballasts and be out of the way of the lights.
Edit:
4th page of the 4th Gen DYI section has a good picture of the harness that's close to mine.
