My '07.5 2500 Diesel has 390,000km and is mechanically excellent. Regular maintenance and preventative maintenance, as well as not beating the living **** out of it has gotten it to this point. Unfortunately it has the typical Dodge rust, so has recently been replaced by a low mileage 2010 Laramie 1500...I just have not been able to bring myself to part with the 2500yet, much to the chagrin of my wife:)

Old topic but,
2015 1500 with 160k miles. Pennzoil or Mobil 5w20, non-synthetic every 5k. Pennzoil or Mobil filters. No catch can. I generally drive light footed, my truck is almost never above 2500rpm unless I'm passing someone. No ticks, no lifter or cam issues. I have a broken exhaust manifold bolt but it doesn't make any noise.
I never idle my truck, ever. I don't use drive throughs, I don't let it warm up longer than what it takes for the rpm to drop below 1000, if I'm stopping anywhere for more than a couple minutes the truck is off. I'll freeze my butt off in winter or cook my brains out in summer before I'll idle it. Unfortunately I don't have an idle/drive time to give though because I switched my gauge cluster out and the hours carried over from the previous owner's truck which idled a lot.
