Hey guys I have a lifted 2022 power wagon and it has a very inconsistent vibration between 55 mph and 80 mph about 70% of the time it’s smooth no vibration, but then all of a sudden a humming sound and vibration from them truck starts happening and then goes away. It has a 4 inch BDS lift has anybody dealt with this issue and possibly have a solution?5F8F0717-4B25-48B6-A6A1-FE3533EB4B00.jpeg

I have a 22 Wagon and have felt this since I picked it up new.. Ever figure anything out? I'm wondering if it's bad balance on driveshaft as I just can't find the source in a bad bearing or u joint. Same symptoms vibration and intermittent humming with the vibration. I can feel it more during hard acceleration.

My 2019 stock had a hum in it around 80. In that one I adjusted the hood supports at the corners because there was some visible hood movement at speed. Not sure that was the cause but at some point the noise went away.

The 22 has a hum and vibration at 75-85 emanating from the rear end. I hoped it would improve with break in but it’s still there. Need to get it to a dealer.

When I first looked into this a few years back there was a theory it was the ANC (auto noise cancellation). I still need to find that and disable it to test but I haven’t yet. Pretty sure the present truck is an imbalance in the shaft or rear end.

Where I’m located presently diagnosing is tough, not easy to find a place to get up to those speeds.

At those speeds and with that much lift on an already tall truck, my bet would be the rear drive shaft. Take it to a good shop and make sure it is properly balanced. The increased angle from the lift magnifies any out of balance a lot. A good shop can make you a drive shaft that doesn't need the big counter balance weight and you may want to look at having them decrease the shaft to yoke angle at the rear differential. Wouldn't hurt to check the front as well.

Who installed the lift? Did they clock the transfer case?

Sounds exactly like the symptoms of a separated tire

Did you have it before the lift?
A lift compounds finding the issue.

I've had installed two different sets of new rim/tire combo thinking out of round but not the case. I'm nearing 30,000 and worried because dealer always too busy to look into it deeper than a safety check. I'm still thinking it's inside the rear end or transfer case

You seriously need to find a different dealer. The one you have SUCKS!!!! That said, did you ever take it to a driveline specialist and have them check front and rear driveshaft balance, pinion angles front and rear etc. Would be a lot cheaper than being on your third set of tires.
