Hi all: Just brought home 2020 Ram 2500 today. I had a 1500 Ram that I used to tow my camper. I measured from 1500 to 2500 it sits about 4 to 5 inches higher. My question is what kind of adapter do I need to drop down receiver to hook up equalizer hitch? Equalizer hitch is already in it's lowest holes. Thanks

Avoid adapter if you can. Another point of slop. I'll only use it for <3k

Been researching and I think I need a Curt weight distribution shank. It has up to 8" drop and it fits all curt weight distribution hitches It is a 17123. What do you think?

If your WDH is made by Curt,, then it's best to buy a drop shank made by them.
With a 2.5" receiver on a 2500, better to get the: https://www.curtmfg.com/part/17132

Fastway 90-02-4325 2-1/2" Adjustable Shank 6" drop/10 Rise x 12" Length (XL12)

This is equalizers drop shank. I'm using it on my husky centerline hitch. Works great I'm at 1 hole up from the bottom on my 2500 with a trailer coupler height of 22 inches.

This is the one I am going to get for my WDH. Got to find the cashola for it. That and the new shank for my Weigh-Safe too....

Can't you just flip yours and lower the holes. I did it on mine I have the equalizer hitch also.

+1 My 1500 is about 2" higher than my F-150 was. I flipped my equalizer hitch to face down and relocated the ball in different holes. Only took about 20 minutes.
