It might help in the summer months here in Texas.....it is too damn cold here for me to rip out the OEM stat.....

moral to the story.....i will install my jet stat once it warms up and go back to OEM when it cools back down....

you do what you have to do :D

Why is it some sites list the OEM 5.7 tstat as 205, some at 203 and some at 195?

Also, all the info I can find on this tstat it only works for 3rd gen 5.7's....2003-2007

from what i was told when i was looking for one of these before i learned how to read, the different years of HEMI's and cars to trucks use different stats

Man, I didn't realize there were that many T-Stat haters around here... I love mine simply because it keeps the oil temp lower. I've changed my oil when it's hot and the crap is thinner than water. The truck also keeps that peppy feel when it fully warms up.

And I fail to see why it would take any longer to reach operating temp? It doesn't matter if you have a 180 stat or the stock 203 stat, it's still going to got 180 at the same time...

I have not seen a significant change in MPG either...

Damn, I wish I would have known you weren't going to use it. I bought one for the Charger last week and could have bought yours...
