Well I was going to start a thread posting pics of my truck for a little transformation thread. I started with a stock 2013 ram 1500 QC 2wd and added the maxtrax 7" some 17" Raceline rims and 35" tires. I recently just added Moto metal 20 x 12 and some new 35" rubber, a full sound system last week, and was going to add my 3" body lift I already have delivered to the house, BUT....

I called 3 shops. Two of them do not do body lifts. The other wants $800 for a body lift install without alignment!!! I'm stuck in Midland/Odessa where everything had a "oil field money" tax when my normal guys in San Antonio would do it for $500 with alignment

A lot of guys are doing it them selves. I'm sure someone will be happy to help you with it

Body lifts are easy to install (you don't need a alignment). Start with the cab/front end. That's the hardest part. Loosen body mounts on both sides but keep the bolts in on one side (couple of threads deep). If you have a couple of buddies to help you out it will go a little faster in not a floor jack and some wood to tilt the body enough to slide the body lift in. Loosely bolt that side in and repeat. Same for the rear. I know I left some steps for the front out but that's about all that is involved.

I wouldn't use the third one if they are telling you that an alignment is needed for a body lift

It's really not a difficult DIY project as mentioned already. I did mine by myself, drilling the holes for the bumper relocation brackets was the hardest part. Jacking up the body and putting the pucks in is easy as can be.

body lifts are easy to do but they are time consuming, hence the $800 install price. going based off hourly shop rates near me, price is about right. only way to get it done cheaper is to do it yourself.

I bucked up and paid it. Came out to $892 with tax. I'll hopefully pick it up tomorrow afternoon and pictures to come.
