Hood stack legality in Texas

I see few around here, usally some rust bucket. one is a 4cy Nissan
but what about the real trucks like my hi way grain truck that came with stacks from the factory?
Back before all the add on emission stuff.

JMHO but when I see hood or bed stacks on a pavement princess I think douche bag. But to each their own I suppose.

If I recall correctly, the only pick up that came with bedstacks that are 100% legal is the Dodge Little Red Wagon flare bed pickup form the 70's.
