It is just fine. You can unplug the relay if you want. I am pretty sure all it does is power the key light when you open the door and a few seconds after. That is why it is generally hot any time you check itHi everyone, I am also experiencing the same issue posted by OP about that round metallic (I'm assuming it is a relay of some sort?) being too hot to touch even after the truck has been sitting (undriven) for 3 days. Is that normal? I don't want my truck to catch on fire, so I'm thinking that I may have to unhook the battery from now on if it's just sitting on the driveway.
