how cold are your cold starts and how do you prepare your truck

Well back to winter again and I forgot a few things that I'd like to have. An extension cord for my block heater for example. Having good luck so far with my off brand snow tires (hercules) wasn't sure about them, but now on my second winter with them and the traction and treadwear have both been good. Hoping to get 3 winters out of them.

My cord is 5meters (5x3fot=15fot)it is "ok"

-30C , ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, heck no. The coldest my truck has ever seen was the "Climate Change" freak storm in Feb 2021 when it was -5F... I have been in colder weather but not in TX,. How do I prepare:.. Grab keys outta draw, point towards front door, remote start, all done, LOL. Now I do put in some gas dryer in the fuel once or twice in the winter and run good WW Fluid, and if it gonna get real cold, dump 90% Isopropyl alcohol in WW, but that is the rarity here.

@ STEFAN: Never been to that part of the globe, closest I got was Germany.

Easy Fix - Odessey H8 and NOCO trickle charger that I split into the Block heater plug.

But this year I built a shop so it now sleeps inside

Suck in the literal sense as in friggin lousy, or suck in the science sense as watch them babies use the Juice (battery supply) up quick?

I watched the TFL video on an EF-150 towing that was supposed to go 320 miles, and made 87 miles, got off the highway and just made a charging station before dying, should open up some people eyes but will not, IMHO...

No EV's in TX unless U driving 5 miles a day. Heck just a trip to a Big Store for me is 90-100 miles round trip, LMAO.

View attachment 116815 Right now it's cold outside. I'm using the oe block heater. Mopar battery warmer. 5W20 mobil1 synthetic. I used wire terminal cleaner on all my latches to get out moisture prior to loading them up with white lithium grease. Tailgate is frozen shut because I forgot to do it, but the tonneau still works fine.also made sure my antifreeze was up to the task good to -45 at the moment.

Never forget your extension again. Canadian Tire 8 bucks. Holds 30 to 40 feet of cord nicely. You can mount them to the grill, bumper, bush guard etc.
