My windshield washer fluid empty light is on but it is full I have read on line that if you use rainx you could have this issue. Any one know how to clean the sensor with out removing it from the tank. I can’t find and well it is cold and snow so laying on the ground right now isn’t the best
Thank you

Ok how did you located the sensor
I honestly don't remember. I know it's on the bottom so I just spun the brush around and check to see if the light went out. First or second try and it was out.

Best way is to use a suction device, like a turkey baster with a longer hose, the tank holds close to a gallon of fluid

When you get the level down close to the bottom
Then take a brush & work it around the sensor.

The way to tell if your sensor is bad is, after brushing the sensor clean, see if it sprays on the window. or at least dribbles, to see if the pump is ok

If it squirts, empty the windshield washer reservoir

This is the thing that everyone should know:

If the washer fluid beads on the windshield, it is not good for a Ram trucks windshield washer pump

Put some blue washer fluid in it and a couple of good squirts of Dawn, Sunlight or whatever liquid dish soap. It will clean the sensor, lines and inside of the tank. Takes bugs off way better too.

Did you ever figure out how to get the sensor off? Mine seems stuck. BTW mine is a 2002.
