How do I know what rear I have?

I need a new yoke and pinion for my front rear and I don't want to buy the wrong one as there are different rears and I can’t specify mine I have a 1994 1500 5.2l 5 speed

I know you didn't ask, but a yoke and pinion gear / bearing change will be more expensive than most used complete axles.

When my yoke broke, I tried the same as you(by replacing them and hoping for the best), other parts were damaged inside the axle and I only made it halfway around the block before more problems arose. I replaced the complete axle.
