Hello,

I'm trying to access my wiper fluid lines. And to do this, I need to remove the flexible heat shield that lines the inside of the hood. It's held in by these plastics rivets (shaped kinda like the "radioactive" symbol). Can someone tell me how to remove these, so that I can reinstall the shield properly when the job is done? I don't want to just rip them out.

Thanks!

I think you have to pretty much rip them out and replace with new. I know they send new ones with the underhood light kit, which is why I'm assuming that. I ripped one out the other day and need to get a replacement. Although there may be a correct tool for removing them, not sure...

Use a trim removal tool to pop them out. Preferably the kind that operates like pliers. That type won’t damage the hood liner

Those panel clip pliers ^^^^ work fantastic.

Also, look up panel tool kit on Amazon. There are some nice kits available for cheap there.

Or you can use a pair of needle nose or a small pick tool. There are 2 little tabs that need to be pushed in on either side
