I’m solely referring to modding wise. When I was shopping for my first Ram I wanted basic so I wasn’t paying for things I wasn’t going to use. I ended up with a Bighorn, but kept options to a minimum so I could have my cake and eat it to lol.

lol getting a lower optioned truck and modding the hell out of it seems to be a habit of mine.

My dad has a King Ranch. It's almost "too nice" if that makes sense. Almost scared to use it the way a truck should. Somehow I always get conned into doing the work when I'm visiting o_O

Bighorn here so lots of bells but adjusted the visual and oomph a bit!

I’m a firm believer that you can do a basic buy, yet add to it what you want and still stay on a budget. The key thing is I know some will say why not buy it with everything. I have yet to see someone buy their truck and not add ANYTHING to it lol.

I got a Ram SLT it doesn't have the backup camera which I thought that's what the mirrors are for and no driving nights it has the bigger tires and so far all I've done is had the windows tinted and I've had it 10 days probably going to put some kind of nerf bars on it and be done. I was looking at a 18' tradesman and for almost the same money I got this one (17')
with 29k on it which I like better.

The challenge anymore is to find a basic truck; the dealer found my Tradesman two states away. I haven't really done anything since buying the truck but I definitely have a list!

Kept it simple. My needs, crewcab, 8 spd, 4x4, hemi , very little to no crew. Express met those needs for .. I knew I was buying a truck solely to be my “work truck” that would see quite a few miles on the road and have my Charger that has the bells and whistles. Also didn’t want chrome bumpers like the Big Horn have. Didn’t want all those bells and whistles that I would probably never use. I never had a vehicle that didn’t have leather so it took some getting use to and may still swap it for Katskin down the road. I mod with the “work truck “ mentality so I don’t go overboard like I usually do. 3.92 would be nice though but wasn’t a deal breaker to me.

-Borla XS pro w/ 5” tips
Leveled.
-305/55/20 on stock cc, stuck with a 33” stick but get some more poke and not kill my mpg too much
-Pioneer 4000nex, kicker sub and speakers
-mopar tailgate camera
-Retros projector headlights/ Morimoto fogs
-Amp steps
-cquartz and clear bra on the front to help it stay looking good
-backflips g2 (came with it) would of ordered it or something similar anyways
-husky weather beaters (came with it and saved me some money) would of bought them or weather tech had they not

My crew cab Express came with everything I'd want in a vehicle. Back-up cam, reflector headlights, cloth seats, and 20 " wheels. The only additions I have added were BedRug and Bakflip tri-fold VP cover.

only thing I regret some days is getting a quad cab. they did sweeten the deal though so I couldn’t justify a bigger rear door. plus it’s just me and my gf 80% of the time.

i’ve added a laundry list of things to the truck, and i’m still going with it. I have too many things I wanna do, which the express is perfect for.

I agree as I tried to mod my neighbors quad cab, but with the four of them and his one son being huge it wasn’t big enough. I’m surprised with it being just you and your gf that you didn’t get a regular cab.

Yes...RamBoxes rule! Once you get 'em, you'll wonder how you lived without 'em...and you can mod those things, too!
