Went ahead and switched out the interior lights and the license plate bulbs tonight. Big difference, and happy with the change. Nice, uniform light inside.

I did all of mine on my tradesman. I did need to use resistors for the tail and blinkers. The best thing about this is they make leds for the front blinkers that are white when they are set to running lights and then blink Amber when the blinker is on. I can actually see whats to the left and right of the front of the truck. I have not use them plowing yet but this should be a game changer to be able to see to the side of the plow. The white light is so bright you can drive without the head lights.

Looks good Steve Cloud! IMO everybody should ditch the glass bulbs that come OE. So much more yellow compared to LED. Top 3 change outs should be: interior, license plate and 3rd / high mount red brake.

Swamp mule, the turn / brake lamps are the only ones I have not changed on my truck. I’m looking at VLED’s switchback for the front (white running w/ amber turn signals).

So, quick question... I love how many of the lights on my 2016 Big Horn are LEDs, but the interior overhead lights, rear cab truck bed light, as well as the license plate lights, etc. are not. Is it a major deal to change them all out? What I mean is, do I have to have an OBD scanner just to switch all of those out? Is it worth it? Thanks.

I switched my interior and license plate bulbs with leds. Yitamotor sells a complete kit for around $10. No codes, no errors.

I have updated the low beam headlights only with the Putco 289005PZ low beam LED headlamp kit. Not as cheap as some, but work very well, and they do not have any cooling fan. They have been in service for a year. They are very bright at 6500K. Shop around, as you will find that the prices vary somewhat. I believe that I purchased them at Headlight Revolution. Check out their YouTube video. These are plug and play. Installation instructions are very clear; just watch for the two (?) extra bolts with 10 MM heads (?) that are not obvious and not in the video when removing the grille.

You can use whatever LED bulbs you would like if your truck throws a code for a light out all you need to do is go to the dealer and have them re-configure the truck using the building code for the LED lamp defeat. It’s easy to do and if you needed help I could actually alter your vin for you and then just have a reconfigure done at your local dealer

Easy swap. No resistors needed on my '17 2500 CCLB. I used red LEDs in the cab because red doesn't ruin your night vision. Lots of Police cars have switched over to red. It also makes my Ram different than the other 147 Rams I saw today.[emoji51]
Also did the others you mentioned. They're all just brighter now. Very happy I swapped them all to LEDs.

I had my High and low beams and also my fogs switched to Putco LED's.
I bought Sylvania Vevo 's for my reverse and brake lights yesterday.

Kind of curious how bad these leds throw light compared to the halogen they are meant for? I personally want to do a retro but maybe I’ll try leds.

I was running Putco LEDs in my low beams until I switched to GTR 35W HIDs. Night & day difference (no pun intended ;-) The Putcos we’re decent but HIDs are the way to go.

Still running Putco LEDs in my fogs though, they do great!

Thanks for the info. Not sure I'm gonna do headlights right now. My halogens are actually pretty bright. Was mainly wanting to do the interior, but with the bulbs I purchased, there was enough to do some of the outside marker lights, as well. Pretty happy with them.

I swapped my frt. blinkers with bright amber LEDs but, I still have that same problem with not being able to see to the sides. Do you have a link for those that you used?. Would sure appreciate it.

I did the license plate lights, interior map lights and cargo lights with Yorkim. Did the reverse lights with Yorkims and the fog lights with Leppein 9006/HB4 LEDs.

I can tell about 5% of the oncoming traffic on my morning commute has converted to garbage, glare factory LEDs and it makes me think less of them as people.

No problem with factory lights = no urge to change them = no problem with aftermarket lights.

I'm thinking of getting the same. How are they holding up?

I haven't had any problems with them, except for one of the plate lights fit a little loose and flickered for a while. Seems to have fixed itself though. I don't believe it was a problem caused by the bulb, more the socket. Definitely brighten up the cab though.
