Bought my first (Dodge, because it was prior to 11) Ram 1500 in 12 it was a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT with the 4.7L V8 Crew Cab 4x2. Current truck bought in 16 is a 2015 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel Big Horn Crew 4x4 and I absolutely love it!! The only way I won’t own a Ram is if they quit making them! I can’t stop drooling over the 2019’s!

On my second. Bought a new 2012, traded it last year for a 2019. I decided to lease this time because I don't do much driving these days, so it went against me to have a high payment for it to sit in the driveway. I never keep vehicles longer than 5-6 years anyway, so it doesn't pay to buy. Couldn't beat a no money down loaded Bighorn for $290 a month and walking away with a check for 17k for my 2012. The only thing I'll miss is customizing it, but I'll get over it.

Im still on my 11. But I read about guys that have a lot newer trucks than mine, getting an even newer truck. I'm just wondering. I'll bet there are guys on their 3rd new truck since mine was new. Count your spouse's truck also.

I had a job that required me to put a lot of miles on my truck which had me trading at around 100-K every two years. I started driving Ram trucks in 09 so that would be a 2009,2011,2013,2015 and now a 2019 new Body Style. The reason for the gap between the 15 and 19 is because I retired in 2016 with only 57-K on the 2015 so I kept it until I saw the 2019 Laramie Sport 4x4 off road and had to have it. Every Ram I have mentioned was completely trouble free and all I did was regular maintenance and Tires. My new 2019 has 12K on it now and so far totally trouble free. I have changed the oil twice so far and I love the truck.

Bought my first Ram (it was a 2005, with of course the Hemi). Bought it in 2013, traded it in with 165,000 trouble free miles on it. Traded it in 2015 on a brand new 2015 Ram, (again, of course with the Hemi), and my 2015, again, absolutely 100% trouble free, 42,000 miles worth of driving so far.

The truck is literally, as tight, and rattle free as the day I drove it off the lot.

I'll put it's reliability up against ANY manufacturer, no problem, and come away smiling.

I love my Hemi Ram!!!!

Two, 2012 & 2017. Both Bighorns. '12 was sold, recently acquired the '17.

Must love FCA, becuase we have a '16 Charger Scat Pack and an '18 Durango Citadel as well. (Just sold a '14 Wrangler for the '17 Ram).

^No way! Lol

Care to elaborate?

It's a sickness, and I love trading out, hahahahahahaha!

In all seriousness, I own a business, and it's one of my main tax write off's.

I go back to the 2001 model. I've had the following:

2001 RAM 1500
2003 RAM 1500
2004 RAM 1500
2007 RAM 1500
2010 RAM 1500
2013 RAM 1500
2015 RAM 1500 x 2 (I had a lemon that had to go back!)
2016 RAM 1500
2019 RAM 1500

I was the fleet manager for my company for 30+ years so I liked getting a new vehicle every few years to get all the latest and greatest equipment. I had a few GM and Ford models before trying my first RAM truck. As you can see, I kept going back for more. Interestingly my company fleet was primarily GM products. I think they have great products too, but I still kept going back to RAM. I think you get the best bang for your buck from them. I retired earlier this year and bought a new 2019 Laramie as a retirement gift to myself. My wife is now telling me I need to slow down on my truck purchases. We'll see! :)
