Thanks Mpgrimm2, all the switch panels listed in doc. Start with 682. The one you posted is 681 and it searches out to be the 2013 only panel. Thanks for the info.

I have a question that i couldn't find answered anywhere in this thread but maybe I overlooked it. Why can't I just take the power/heated/cooled seat/heated wheel wiring harness(es) from the donor truck and put them in my express?? Isn't this possible?

In some instances there are many wiring differences between the 13-18/classic 4th gens based on 1500 vs 2500/3500 as well as year to year as well as trim level & cab configurations.

Some trucks have partial sections of wiring, some have none, some have almost all of it....
... And you can't guarantee that just because the connectors match up that Ram/Stellantis kept the same signal at the same pin between trucks and actual continue all the way through the circuit ...

You'd have to identify/verify each connector/pin between the two trucks and strip out the needed sections from donor harness and add it to the receiving vehicle correctly. Not saying it can't be done, but it requires a lot of legwork.

The easiest example that comes to mind is the front end connector under the PDC for the Foglights ...

13ram1500 = pins 7&8 on 14 pin connector

13-18 2500/3500 = pins 23 & 24 on 34 pin connector

14-18/classic 1500 = pins 2 & 3 on same 34 pin connector

For those that have power driver seat or heated only front seats and want to check if they have the wiring to support heated & vented seats with power adjust at both. (8.4 Radio and 8.4 HVAC system usually req'd)

Need to see the truck side wiring for the 2 connectors under the driver seat (i400 yel & i401 grey) and the passenger side i420 (yel) where I can clearly see both rows of wires at back of the female connectors .... NOT THE SEAT SIDE.

driver side i400 (yel) & i401 (gry)

* If i400 has 3 pink & red wires at 1,7,8 you have needed power

Passenger side i420
If i420 has pins 1-5 = heated/vented
14,15,21 are seat adj & inverter supply

And for those that don't have wiring already, what you need will also be determined by the connector type near the brake pedal....

Thanks! I did find your post about checking the truck side of the seat connectors. After looking at them, I think its safe to say that my 2017 1500 express with manual seats has the least amount of wires it could possibly have. The donor truck is a 2015 Sport with all the options. I didn't know if there may be some connectors up under the dash that I could unplug and take the harness that runs back to the seats. Keep in mind that I am just asking. I have no idea where the wiring harness sections separate and if this is feasible. Even if I had to cut some wires in addition to unplugging the plugs it would be ok. I could figure out what is needed for connector and pin parts and pieces to make it 'mate' into the rest of my factory harness. I think even the rear seat is possibly heated and cooled so I could even try to make that work although it's not that important. I was wondering if this may help me with the wiring for the steering wheel swap to make the heat and radio controls work as well. Thanks

Long story short I can make the needed add-on harness, but there's a bit of a wait for it... Send me a message if interested.

I know this post might get moved but I haven’t used this site in quite some time. Where do I find the presets to change in Alfa to activate center seats and everything that has to be activated with it? I tried looking on Alfa but there’s a lot of sections.
Also where to change the seat material
Cause I heard you have to change that also.
And I see some people using tap stalk, I didn’t know that was still working. Cause when I used it back in the day it gave errors cause the owner didn’t update something or what not. But I redownloaded tapa on iPhone but not sure what the forum is called on there. Tried searching for it but just found ramforumz. Any help would be appreciated thanks. Old but new newbie lol

This is one long thread. I read a good bit of it, but not all of it. Tried searching it but didn't find what I was looking for. Seems like all the assumptions in the thread are that people already have, or find, the heated seats with all the connectors and wiring already installed, unless I missed it somewhere (which is definitely possible).

Has anyone installed universal seat heating elements into their non-heated seats? I was going down the path of trying to find some heated and cooled seats to swap in (which would be by far the easiest option), but so far everything I have found are way too expensive. And really there is nothing wrong with the seats I have, in fact they are practically new since I already installed new Katzkin covers that I got for a good deal. And I found a new switch panel for a good deal as well. I also verified my wiring under my seat and it appears to all be there. I also have AlphaODB and am familiar with that as well, so no issues there either. So really all I think I would need is the heated seat module (682173268xx), the universal pads, and the proper connectors and pins to splice onto the pad wires.

I can get the module off eBay (or maybe get lucky on car-part). Anyone have the schematics and a link to the pins and connectors from Mouser for the heating element connection wires? Sorry if it's in here somewhere already.

Hmm, looking at pictures for the Mopar pads, it appears they each have 4 wires vs the 2 wires aftermarket pads generally have. Not sure what the extra two wires are, but maybe they are temperature sensors that communicate back to the computer for control. So I'm guessing based on that observation that you can't just substitute in universal pads easily.

Now I'm wondering if the pads from other years are interchangeable. For some reason the pads from the 5th gens are cheaper than the 4th gen ones. They are obviously different part numbers, and have a different shape, but I wonder if they would work. Has anyone checked or tried 5th gen pads in a 4th gen?
