How To Add rear Park assist

Hey skuppy069 is it the same plug for the rear harness sensor plugs as the front? I have one that doesn’t have the clip so sensor snaps in. Do you have a part number for the rear or front one if they are the same? I need to replace that one.

They are the same different part# they both work one part# supersedes the other you can even mix them and they work

You might be looking at the 6 plug at the rear that plugs into the wires going to the control module

GW the connectors are the same. Im guessing this was why you were getting the service park assist

Ultrasonics
PTS
Then the park assist volume csm rear
Then park assist volume front if you did the front as well

Is the ultrasonic setting this one?

That’s what I had. But when I went to set it cause it was the last setting I needed to set, it was already set. I think but don’t know, if you set some settings it sets others for you.

option 1-2 was set by default for me. I played around with those when I was trying to get my sound to work and on option 2-3 my right rear sensor would stay on as if something was blocking it.

Okay so here I go!!!! 4/28/2020

Got my rear park assist working today. I will try and give in great detail what I did and cost. I might be a long post so bear with me if you want to do this.

First off I would like to thank so people here.
1. Skuppy069, what a great person who started this post and made me want to try it. He has been very helpful.
2. Sherman Robbins. You were so helpful and taking time to explain things to me. Showing me what you did and the layout of the holes to cut.
3. SRich2015. Thank you for the diagram showing where the I-220 plug is. I saved about 35 to 40 feet of wire.
4. DeereGuy. Thank you for the Security Bypass connector. You have to have this if your truck is 2018 or newer.

So I tried to keep the cost down as much as I could. Here is a list of what I bought and how much. Keep in mind I still need to purchase the front harness, sensors and bezels.

1. Dash front and rear controls on eBay - $90.00 Used
2. Front and rear control module on eBay - $70.00 New
3. Bought another control module that had C-1, C-2 and C-3 connector plugs on eBay - $39.22 Used
4. C-Can 2 pin connector plug and pins from Mouser - $9.39 new
5. Rear harness, sensors and bezels on eBay - $56.81 Used
6. Wires to hook up park assist. 11 colors, each 20 feet long and 20 gauge on eBay - $28.61 New
7. Security bypass cable from DeereGuy - $55.00 New
8. OBDLink MX Bluetooth on eBay - $84.75 New
9. Alfa App for android on Amazon $49.00 New

To date I have $482.78 and rear PA is working.
