Why not just ground the pins on the BCM and bypass the hood latch completely? That is how I have done it for the two remote start installs I have done.

You could do like a maintenance switch or something like that?Because I don't have the kind of luck that prevents the button from getting hit while working on the engine and I prefer my fingers where they are.

Interesting idea. I've got my new latch laying on the bench at home, and was planning to install this weekend. Let me take a look at this.
No joy. You could do it, but you'd have to essentially destroy the latches to get the switch off. You'd have to drill a couple of large rivets out to get the latch apart to remove the switch. Easiest to just replace the whole latch assembly.Any luck? I'm holding off ordering one or the other until I see your report.

I am trying to source the BCM pins as well for a taillight install. My question is, there seems to be two different size pins for the BCM. I am trying to pin BCM C6/F pins 27 and 31 (light fault sense wires R+L).Those aren’t actually the correct terminals for the BCM, but they “fit”.
Kostal 32124734123000 are the correct terminals- https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/KOSTAL/32124734123000-L?qs=W0yvOO0ixfFjDQ0rJ%2BHBUw==
Do you know if the Kostal 32124734123000 are the "small" pins or the "large" pins? The smaller pins (Aptive 13627884-L) are discontinued and replaced with Aptiv 35072396-L, which also have a huge lead time (July 2022).Large BCM terminals for the turn signal circuits (2)- https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Kostal/22140492060050-L?qs=/ha2pyFaduj8oGXoX7vSDezsCEh/TeFPHxy2z8Kh8Nv44XLlKWlO4Q==

Kostal 32124734123000 are the small terminals. If this is for the 2011 in your signature, none of this applies, because you don’t have a BCM. You have a TIPM, which doesn’t even have the light fault sense circuits or rear turn signal circuits.I am trying to source the BCM pins as well for a taillight install. No, it’s for another truck. Thanks for the part number.Kostal 32124734123000 are the small terminals. If this is for the 2011 in your signature, none of this applies, because you don’t have a BCM. You have a TIPM, which doesn’t even have the light fault sense circuits or rear turn signal circuits.
Cancel that, I got it figured out finallyFor some reason none of the pictures are showing up for the original post. What pins are 5 & 6 on the pcd connector?
There've only been a couple of mornings this fall that it's been cold enough to leave frost on the window, so I haven't used mine much, but it's been really nice those couple of times.I finally finished activating the Remote start on my 2014 1500 Express today. Works perfectly!
I’m seeing 5764 available through mouser-HELP!! I need the BCM pin to complete my remote starter install and they are not available on the market right now. Does anyone have a
Kostal 32124734123000 or Aptiv 13627884-L pin they would sell and send to me? I can pay with PayPal. Thanks
