Lots on newbies her and a lot of questions could be answered and mistakes admitted to avoid put the “cart before the horse” or buy a name blindly. This journey could cost upwards of 20k in just a few mods so let’s take it one at a time with the pros and cons of each one. Some are completely functional and never seen and some have no function but bringing a smile to the owners face when he sees it. Here is my list in my order. But I did not include recovery gear. That was put on day one but I don’t call it a mod unless I bolted to the truck ( like a HiLift Jack)

1) Bed Cover- DiamondBack HD cover
Custom DB cargo boxes and rack

2) Lights- I choose Ditch Lights- Vision X
3) Ridge side shooters and rear lights and to mount them on the
Elis Randy light/bull bar

2) Pod-switch link- I choose RC

Sliders- I Choose to build my own

1) Amp rear step( was supposed to be from the factory)

3) Removed resonator- down pipe

4)Mud flaps

5)Exhaust bypass by

6)Tires I choose 35” Toyo A/T Now this is most common thing done first but I wanted to try out the Duratracs myself. And I wanted to make certain the tire size I wanted before I dropped coin.

I’m definitely into mine in the five digits. My suspension and tires alone were almost $7k.

I know. Bitter sweat.

I should have sweat equity included but capped at book hours. So if it took me 2 hours to put on my bull bar but the shop was only going to charge me 1hr then I can only include their rate per hour.

I’m at the top end of the 3-6k bracket with a couple more K worth of stuff I want to add before I’m finished. I did just drop some coin on a few cases of Amsoil motor oil, 14 quarts of Amsoil gear lube and enough Wix oil, air, and cabin filters to take care of my PM needs for the next 2 years or so. :peace:

$2200 tires and wheels, $1600 diamondback cover, $900 sliders, $425 tranny skid plate, $2715 thuren suspension stuff, $200 muffler, $500 Abel Components nanny bypass and locker bypass.......holy **** i have to change my vote on the amount spent. It is more than i thought, but I think i am done for now.....except a rear mounted winch would be nice, new front and rear bumpers would be nice........damn it's gonna add up.

Thuren, Toyo, Yakima, Retrax, Carli, and Weather Tech all have some of my money. I'm over 3k for sure, maybe even 6k but I don't feel like adding up receipts.

I guess I'm definitely the minority here in that although I'd like to do a lot to my truck, I always revert to the mindset of "you bought this truck because of the capabilities straight from the factory".

Can't tell you how many times I've filled my cart with Thuren parts, AEV parts and Buckstop bumpers over and over again, only to tell myself "NO" and just close the tabs lol

The mods I've done are definitely more function based than aesthetics based on my needs, with the exception of the solo muffler delete I ordered on Cyber Monday lol.

I do realize "function" could mean something entirely different from one person to the next. Which is what makes all of our trucks an extension of our individual personalities.

Gotta love modding!

I'm looking at $10,200 for what I want to do at the moment...

Katla's- $1440 (x5)
KM3's 37's- $2021 (x5)
AEV Bed Mount- $400
94R NorthStar AGM Battery- $260
WhiteKnuckle Sliders- $1300+Freight
Magnaflow D-fit- $325
RLD Design Camper Shell- $4150
Amsoil engine, diff and trans fluid, Wix filters- $300

I still haven't picked out my under carriage protection, Baja Designs Lights front n rear, Air Compressor, Suspension Upgrades (Carli, Thuren, or AEV), Top Rack (most likely RLD), and Hardcover Tent... Would like your input for these things...

While I don’t have the “power wagon” I don’t wanna add mine up lol. Tires, full suspension, custom bed, frame, driveshaft, tent, rack, c02, onboard water, I don’t even know what else :boxed:

I have installed the fog pocket lights here: https://www.cjcoffroad.com/Baja-Designs-2019-Ram-2500-3500-Fog-Pocket-p/bd-squadron2019-.htm
I will post some pictures soon. They look good, but they are not as easy to install as it appears. The kit replaces the bezel which is held in place by 5 nuts and nut plates. I could not reach all of these nuts/nut plates to get the OEM bezel out very easily and only was able to re-install a few per side.... here are the instructions: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gp4dykleajdfvhl/Laramie Conversion Fog Light Instructions.pdf?dl=0

I do not think that you need to remove the bezels that hold the sensors to install tint, do you? The lights came out easily, but I really would like to know if the bezel holding the sensors with the 5 plate nuts is a piece of cake. If it was, please let me know how so I can install the parts I have left over after the re-install...
