I am curious if this 01 I bought has ever had the transmission replaced.
But I have no idea how to read the code on the side of the trans and a search was unhelpful. It's a 1500 5.2 v8 truck.

Here is the code
Pk5211s843aa 2660 1322

Based on the Mopar Julian Date Code, the "2660" on the build tag means that this transmission was assembled on the 266th day of the year 2000, which was September 23rd, 2000. The "PK" is the identifier for the Kokomo, Indiana Transmission Plant. If you look at the VIN tag on the driver door you will find the date of manufacture for the truck. With your truck being a 2001 model it is highly possible to have a transmission with a date code of September 2000.
