If I just remove the fog lights, do I need anything to make sure no code is throw, or to make sure that the system doesn't short out. Is there a fuse I must pull?

I really wanna do this, but just keep thinking its not worth it to take it apart. But then I see the Rebels go by and New Rams with the led fogs built into the bumper and like them so much think that maybe it is worth it...

Wish you guys took pics of the install!

Also.. ncgatorram. I think I asked before and you PMed it to me, but do you have a pic of them installed with the lights off?

I have a black ram and am curious what they look like in the daytime.

Wow, the sports with vertical fogs do not require bumper removal, it’s all exposed from behind with easy access.
That's what I was thinking

Thanks for the confirmation. I just ordered the vertical Morimotos for my sport yesterday then ran into this thread today. I started getting bummed thinking I had to remove the bumper. Stoked I don’t have to

ram_fogs.jpg I finally got around to this.

I just want to clear the air.. for anyone with the sport bumper on the 09-12 years. This isn't as complicated as it seems.

Quick how to:

You remove the grill like you would to replace the headlights.

The wheel liners have to be pulled back in the front (2 10mm screws and 2 push pins) then there is a 10mm bolt on the inside of the panel holding the bumper on (a few inches below where the push tab is holding the headlaps on)

After this there are 4 bolts, I think also 10mm, on the bottom of the bumper that have to be removed.

I also removed the headlights.

The bumper pushes into the front end with small tabs you push down to slide out.

The fogs pop out from there the same was as the other models.

Only difference is there is no bracket.

Piece of advice... try and aim them first.

There is a small slit under the boxes they are mounted in, for a screw driver to slide into for adjustments. However, its a PITA to move it that way considering how small of an adjustment each push of the screwdriver actually is.

If anyone has any questions let me know.

It's worth it ;)

Did you have any issues with alignment of the fogs to the bumper? I've adjusted it as much as I could and they just dont line up... will have to live with it but super annoying....

Does anyone know if there's a video of someone doing this?
