We have an AAM 9.25 front axle. The biggest gear sets we can get are 4.56. Be prepared to spend $$$ if you want to make the switch, for OEM gear set will run just north of $2,000. My quote was $2300.

I must be reading this wrong. Did you say over $2k for a ring & pinion set?

Yes you read that correctly. That is with OEM ring and pinion. Supposedly much better than aftermarket. I was not ready for that price quote!

For 550 dollars for front and rear gear sets, shims, bearings, and gear oil. I'll just replace the R&P gear a few times if need be, lol

Haha very true. I have aftermarket ring and pinion Nitro is the brand I have and I have not seen any issues. OEM are made for them by someone I wonder who it is? Chances are that they have switched suppliers anyway throughout the model.

Yes I wish I knew who made them also. I would really like to have some 4.56's but I will not shell out $2300 for it unless I absolutely needed them. The 4.10's do just fine for now.

I'll Join in. Mostly stock 05 1500 2wd QC. Gotta make my build thread tomorrow or something, lol.

Probably needs shocks. 3/4-7/8 tank of gas. About 370 pounds in the bed, and maybe 50 in the cab.

Front Driver's Side{with fender damage}: 35.5"
Front Passenger Side: 36.25"
Rear Driver's Side: 38.5"
Rear Passenger Side: 38.25"

Looking to get 34" front and 35"-36" rear with 32"-33" tires and some clearancing.

Just off hand, does anyone know if the steering racks in these have plastic rack limiter rings like 93-04 mustangs do?
