Very normal for a winter tire to lower the mpg. Not sure when you put them on but you also see a huge hit when they switch to "winter blend" fuel.

No way those tires made that difference, you have something else going on. I have aggressive 35's on my truck and maybe lost ~1 mpg and your tires are still basically stock size. A 6.7 cummins should barley blink an eye at the tires you have.

Is that the stock size tire ? If not all calculations are inaccurate.

Yes, my 6.7 lost 150 mile range, put very soft rubber NOIKEN HAKKEPELITAS on in October, my motivation was to get off the super slider Firestones.
I expected that, and the much improved traction is well worth it.
this was also my experience with putting on track tires on my M5

It is a well known fact

Rubber has a trait called hysteresis:

"High hysteresis = high amount of Rubber Deformation/Soft Rubber Compound [think racing tires]; High Amount of Traction; but also a High Amount of Heat Generation [internal molecular friction, think of constantly bending a iron bar and the heat produced at the bend point]; and, a High Amount of Rolling Resistance [will use more fuel to overcome this traction process]"

My 13 and 17 both run 275/65 20’s, my 17 gets an average of 9.8mpg with factory G/Y Wrangler all seasons. My 13 has 275/65 20 **** Cepek Trail Country EXP tires. I get an average of 8.9mpg and I drive it like an animal. Plus the 13 has an SnL CAI installed and Borla cat back exhaust.

I lost 1 to 1 1/2 MPG going from SRA's (OEM) to Falken Wildpeaks on MY 19 RAM 1500 CC, about 35-40 miles per tankful. BUT the truck is 200% better riding/running/safer having a decent tire on the rims in any weather instead of Fair Weather OEM tires, IMHO...

That doesn't seem right at all I would adjust your tire size now. I've ran lots of different tires and switching to all terrains it's only been 1mpg on most of my vehicles. My 2022 going from the cheap firestones to Ko2 tires I went from 16ish to 15ish.

I installed them awhile back on my 2014 2500 6.4 Hemi, 285/60/20 stock size and it killed my mileage.
