The issue that TFL had with the engine on that long hill climb was addressed by a Ram engineer in a follow-up video. Because of that TFL test they discovered that there was a programming error that inadvertently shut down the engine. Your dealer should be aware of this issue and can download the software update.

The water pump issue has been recognized. The thermostatic flapper valve is made of plastic and warps in the original, and is being replaced by a metal piece.

Yawn, just another engineering failure where the best Stellantis will do is a service bulletin and customers will have to rely on Geno's, Banks, etc. for a revised part at 150% of original. Or perhaps some backyard engineering fix?

Why is it these fools in engineering think they need to reinvent the weel? Why do their managers allow it? And they wonder why the end product is not selling. It's not just RAM, Ford diesels require you to pull the engine to replace their thermostat, and the list goes on.
We have a "new" 3500 dually with 15k miles that has so many issues that the dealer can't fix that we are selling just to rid ourselves of the problem. Our older ones are just fine.
