Hey all

I have a 2016 ram 1500 stx with the single climate zone
3 knobs no screen

I have an issue where I only get heat on the passenger side

And

More recently
The air will only blow on the foot setting even when I change it
After I start the truck on and off a couple of times it will then work through the settings as normal ( defrost vents and floor)
Why is this happening?

Is this an easy fix?

This is very dangerous in winter driving

If anyone has any I do on these 2 issues I would appreciate it

Also I have replaced the blend door actuator inside the glove box

No fix for either issue

I have to ask ..

When you removed the actuator, there was a White thing
Did you try to move the white thing by rotating left & right ?
It takes just a bit to do it.

Try to feel the weight of the door inside the box, if you do not feel it, listen for a clunk, then twist it the opposite way, until it clunks again.
That would mean that the Door inside is working correctly.

When the actuator is unscrewed, you can hold it in your hand, with the electrical fitting plugged into it, you can watch the shaft turn & you can hear the motor.

The center dash bezel, that surrounds the radio & climate control panel, hides two more actuators & two more doors.

You changed the Blend Door Actuator, the other 2 actuators, move the 2 MODE Doors, they control Defrost & Floor Air, the other one is for the front vents.

The OEM Mopar Actuators costs more, but they are stronger & self Calibrating, but it is up to you to buy what you can afford

I do not know how to fix the passenger to drivers side Air Flow

watch this video, don't worry about the floor console, if you do not have it

This is usually an indication that the heater core is plugged up, there's quite a few threads on this subject. Some people have been lucky to back flush the heater core but replacement is usually required.
