The only problem is the 5th gen bumpers have a weird curve and it’s hard to have things cut into the bumper sit flush.

Ok built these to accent my current color scheme. Just not sure they are worth $515.00 worth of accent.e404ed6b79c0d47970c73c1523952058.jpg

Well I canceled the front bumper order and am solely enhancing the rear part. My bumper for that should be built in about three weeks. I also added a set of Ridgid white flood lights to the equation. I may swap out my polished Mopar 5” tips to a set of Mopar 5” black tips to add more of a stealthy look down yonder.

I’ll need to do a balancing act as far as not adding too much color wise. Don’t want to have it looking clownish.

Here I sit waiting for FedEx and my delivery which has been out for delivery since Thursday ha ha ha. Also picked up another vehicle so then I can actually pull my Accord off the road and tear that apart. Then maybe just maybe my bumper will arrive before I have to leave out for North Carolina.

Well just received confirmation from FedEx that my pallet with my bumper will be here next week. Hopefully that also includes my Ridgid lights as well.

How difficult was it to remove the large Ram head from the tailgate? I am looking to replace the chrome one with a black one. Any tricks to getting it off? I believe there is some adhesive along with the tabs.

Thanks.

I pulled the inside tail gate cover off as I wanted to ensure the oem one would be intact. After that it’s just a matter of gently pushing out the pins (?) and releasing it. I have (3) so it was easy to just send one completely taken apart to the paint shop.

I removed the upper, inside tail gate cover to have a look inside, so it makes sense to remove the whole thing.

Was there an adhesive also holding it on? The entire back side of my replacement one has an adhesive pad, along with the tabs. I would think the original would be the same. If there is an adhesive, I am thinking it might free up better with warmer temperatures.

Yes and you can also heat it with a blow dryer or low temp using a heat gun. :)

So let’s see, I have to install rear bumper, replace hood emblem, install new mirror caps, do the Reflective overlays, and and install new Hellwig rear swaybar. Yup I can see this will be an easy week lol.

I’m thinking I’m going to hold off on the Reflective overlays in purple. I may just debadge the doors instead to allow for that cleaner look.

Did you get the bumper?

I ask cuz I've been having issues with vendors using FedEx and their shipping being wonky during the Rona madness.
