Yesterday I put new speakers in the back of my truck. I didn't reuse the infinity amp. The speakers were rated for 100w at 4ohms. Today I got in the truck and started driving to the gym. The speakers sounded great, for 2 minutes then nothing followed by some slight crackling now. What did I do wrong?

Wit you blew speakers with no amp sounds like something came undone or something is grounded.

That's what I thought. I'm gonna dig into them tonight. But I don't think they've ground out, I wrapped my whole harness piece I made in e tape.

oh my bad, yea, if right off factory HU, unless it shorted the HU...if no amp, I dont see how you could ever blow them. I say take one speaker out, and see if it plays off your home speaker, etc...something that is a known working source. May be amp in HU.
I work for a speaker manufacture, and you wont blow them off factory HU power.

pull one and check, if it works, you've narrowed it down.
