I have a 3” lift currently and I think I’d like to go to the Zone 5.5 and switch from 35’s to 37’s.
On the specs it says you need 5.25 backspace to run 37’s with that kit. I have 4.25 backspace with -12 offset, so where would I rub? I’m not looking to change wheels so would 37’s be possible with that kit ?

My bet is the control/radius arms, depending on year.

It would rub the radius arms. that is the most common area for these trucks to get rub when running bigger tires.

Even with less backspace? Or am I thinking wrong? With 4.5 BS instead of 5.25 BS that should move the wheel outbound away from the radius arms correct??

I think you're right, moving the wheel outboard should prevent it from getting into the radius arms.

I’m thinking the specs listed on Zones site refer to the limit on BS so I think they are saying no more than 5.25” of BS but they just say 37” with 5.25 BS or 35” with 4.5 BS.
I’m getting ready to pull the trigger, guess I’ll call them tomorrow to clarify. Custom Offsets gallery has quite a few 4th gen running 37” with 4.5BS with this lift so I’m pretty sure I’ll be ok.

Maybe with more and a 37" it'll get into the pinch weld at the bottom of the cab or fender liner at full lock?

I agree call them, that's the best way to confirm. I've worn Carli and CJC out with questions. [emoji23]

I've been running the Carli 3" with 35s for a long time, considering their 6" lift now. So I get the never ending project and not leaving stuff alone.

Yea, with that setup I would think you would get more rub on the pinch weld area of the front fender more so than the radius arms.

I have it a touch at full lock with the 3” lift and 35’s so I’m ok with that!

Thanks to everyone for their help.

Well it’s official great pricing and service from @Nick@GotExhaust and the 5.5” Zone with Fox resi shocks are ordered.

Plan is to powder coat the radius arms, front and rear springs and rear control arms candy blue to match the tow hooks. Take her from 3” lift to 5.5 and add 37’s when the 35’s are shot.
