You got me curious about it now , it’s on one of the shelves in my garage . I thought it was just made of some sort of heavy plastic , never paid much attention to it , other then it having epoxy on it . It’s heavy for sure . It’s very similar to what you posted if I remember. Haven’t looked at it in years . I’ve had it for 24 years since we moved my mother-in-law out of her home when she sold it .IIRC, I thought I saw a date inside of 1939 but, it has been a few years since I've had it open.
They're quite an impressive device for the day.
A cast aluminum body with a stamped steel base and what appears to be leather-coated feet.
And the dial assembly is so smooth compared to the type 500-style phone sets like the tb56 pic. It sounds almost like a clock when using the dial.
It weighs 6 pounds. LOL
Is yours the same colour scheme?
.
Heated brake pads, that is a gooder. Gave me a good chuckle. Thanks.Somehow we managed to go on for 4 pages w/o going down a heated 'These are your best brake pads' post. Wow ...it must be a FIRST!

Poor "Q", not enough combinations with other letters to make the cut. At least "Z" made an appearance. No worries, the gang is all back, thanks to smart phones.
You're not the first person to suggest that!Damn you were around with the dinosuars, candlestick phones were even before my time,
Oh yeah, go Yankees. but they need some help to get back on track alsoThread drift.. can't live with it, can't..... can't.... Right, about those Yankees...
It's akin to the news media when there is some disaster or other huge event! Have you ever notice that these "experts" seemingly crawl out from under a rock? LOL!Please don't forget that the source of the information you seek is as important as the information you receive. There seems to be an overabundance of experts on some forums.

BOIRD not puter stupid but I am ref alphaobd. Do not have or use so I shall always defer to da experts.IMHO an expert is anyone with a briefcase that is 50 miles away from home LOL- It doesn't take long here to be able to distinguish the people that really know what they are talking about and the "computer experts". Hopefully, you can do that before you do any damage to your truck.

duckman631, WE seemed to have lost you a week ago, I did post a picture of mine with the black pulled off , and then we got side tracked.I agree and I did keep trying to steer back.. “thanks guys but I am only looking for recommendations for semi metallic” and did that a few times throughout the thread.
The ceramics are great, but the break in procedure is essential. I have the Power Stops and this truck stops better than any truck I ever owned. They put Ceramic pads and HD rotors on our county vehicles (F150's with 5.oL motors). We were running them so hard and braking so hard the rotors would heat up and "melt" the Ford Plastic Center Pieces. But unfortunately, not sure if everyone understood U had to initially burn in them pads to the rotor, LOL. Running 85-99 mph all the time, not take long for stuff to heat up and get brake fade on OEM pads.
