Run away, as fast as you can.

That is really scary, I wouldn't want them even touching it, and once you get it sorted, either by yourself or another shop, I would certainly inform the online world of their price gouging.

I wish you the best getting it fixed properly.

Pa doesn't have emissions testing as to my knowledge but I could be wrong. I'm looking at the delete for the added reliability and power for towing. Its my landscape truck. Frequently hauls 20k and up
Those two things are mutually exclusive.... if you add power, you will absolutely reduce reliability of the transmission. IF you choose to delete, run stock power levels. That engine will tow 20k lbs all day long at stock HP/TQ levels.

Is this a 2500 or 3500? I don't know of any 2500 Rams that will tow 20k lbs without being way over on payload (and potentially over on rear axle if it's a bumper pull trailer).

Yes, it does, in part. There are 67 counties in PA but not all require inspections.
My county, York, requires both emissions and safety inspections annually.

Its a ram 3500. I'm just looking for any help.
