Sorry about your truck, what year was it? Did you have any rust issues?

With smart driving, I have found the stock SR-As to be fine in snow, but like quoted above.....ice is no good for pretty much anything. Even my Xi3s on my Subaru have little traction to stay put on glare ice...If this was freezing rain the best of tire would have problems. Nothing gets around on ice very well unless you chain up or have tracs. Even tires with studs don't do much.

I am unsure why such a consensus that the stock tires are "garbage"....I have literally driven on 100+ different tires and find the stockers to be upper echelon (top 15%)...maybe people simply want to justify buying new ones, so they say the old ones were "bad"?
