Curious to see what everyone’s idle time and drive times are. Maybe members can add their idle times and whether they had to fix the engine lifters and cam. If we see high idle times with lifter/cam replacement, we can corroborate the idea that it is engine lubrication that is the culprit. I know it’s been beat up already but just a thought. Mine has low miles(6000).
Idle: 120
Drive: 221

Dragrazor if your work requires a lot of idle time (or whatever), I'd open your hood wide if possible while idling and let a lot of that heat escape.

My engine is unmolested. Bought the truck used in 2018 with 30k miles if i remember correctly. 2014 5.7L Hemi, factory 392 and 65RFE trans. I've had my own HPT engine/trans tune since then.
Fast forward 121451 miles as of today 09/2022
She sees nothing but factory Mopar 339 oil filters with Castrol 5w30 synth changed whenever the oil reminder light goes off, no additives of any kind, so that's 7-9k miles UCI's. I removed the DOD chit in the tune as well, fact that was the very first thing i did once i did my very 1st read on the PCM calibration back in 2018. I loaded the factory tune a few months ago when gas reached $7/gallon but got bored of it very quickly with the cyl deactivation crap and the factory tune so i went back to my 91 steet tune with all my custom pcm/tcm settings. As i said many times, i let my truck idle as much as we need to specially when it gets a little hot around in the summer and we use the AC full on.
