Here’s my Retrax PowerPro MX. Previously had another Retrax PowerPro MX for 7 years and never a problem. I swapped it 4 times as I would trade up for a newer truck as they all were the 6.5’ Rambox bed.
Unfortunately when I ordered a new 2022 5th gen 1/2 ton, you STILL can not get the 6.5’ Rambox. So I sold my 1st cover and bought a new one to fit the 5.7’ bed.

Don't worry we are not far behind you. Woke mind virus and socialism is destroying us quickly. Our cost of living is going through the roof fast!

Just remember, with all the BS you experience in the US, we have the same or worse F't ard BS happening here that includes a 30-45% increase in cost and more on top of the $ exchange for many items.

Don't even get me started on the woke and sheeple stuff.

Check out the price difference below from Amazon.com to Amazon.ca for the Fram XG2.

I have a Extang Encore hard cover tri-fold on my 2017 1500 BH. Has been a awesome cover and helps keep my team gear stuff secure overnight.

But last year I added the Elevate Rails and towers on to my truck and I can’t open my cover anymore (unless I raise the rails 10 inches higher). Still works and I have used the space between the cover and the rails to transport stuff (securing it with straps).

I would love to switch to a retractable, but the EZ-Ups need to fit under the canister. The only one I think does that is the Roll n’ Lock. I like Retrax but I think the canister goes too deep into the bed. I will look at the Pace Edwards and see if that canister is any better. IMG_6034.jpegIMG_7626.jpegimage.jpg

My custom made Pace Edwards Full-Metal Jackrabbit Tonnuea cover arrived on Tuesday--from their factory in Corvallis, WA. At last I have the rails installed. Installing these rails onto the canister was a major, royal pain in the butt. Made most difficult because the rails on the long bed are 8 feet long, and the fit is exacting.

This pic is their standard Jackrabbit, with vinyl over lightweight corrugated aluminum and you can see the fabric stitching. That would not hold up long where I live in SW Arizona. My "Full-Metal" is powder coated extruded aluminum. I will post pics of it on my truck when I finish this tedious project.

Apples and oranges fella. Can't compare the two.

Too true. This Jackrabbit "full-metal" I am installing is very stout. The extruded aluminum cover will support 400 pounds, distributed equally.

This is the one I have:

$2915 including the smaller toolbox.

TBH, if I were going to do it over I would have gotten the RamBox and a tri-fold tonneau. But I went the way I did because I had an Invisi-Rack with integrated roll-up cover on on 2015 that I thought I could transfer, and I wanted the rack (not that I used it often, but was very handy from time to time). But when I went to install it, the width was different on the new box...

Jesus. $1,900 is insane for a tonneau cover. I could see spending a few hundo but not a couple grand. I paid $280 for mine and am happy with it lol
Is it aluminum? Does it lock? Can you cut through it with a razor knife? I have a tool box, a generator, and a number of other items stored in my bed I don't want walking off. This is what I'm putting on my 2500:

Yes, the Pace Edwards Full-Metal Jackrabbit is not only aluminum, but 1/4 inch thick extruded aluminum, and it locks with a key. About the same price as that RetraxPRO. I've had it installed on my long bed 2029 3500 for about a week ow and it works like a charm. Looks great, too. Very sleek.
