I'm definitely an idiot when it comes to wiring.

Here's what I got that I want to eventually go into my 2006 ram 1500. I have a Pioneer FH-S52BT, 2 10" kicker subs, and a 1000W Jensen amp. I am currently having issues hooking the Pioneer FH-S52BT and I am thinking it is the wiring harness that I bought from amazon which is the RedWolf harness. I'm sure I hooked it up wrong once I put the key on the accessory the radio should power up. It is not.

I always wire my own. Most stereo power wiring is: Black-Ground; constant 12V-Yellow; 12V accessory-Red.

This is from Scoshe for 06-07 rams:

Wiring Diagram

If you radio doesn't power up, you most likely either wired it wrong or have poor connections. Or if you bought a used radio it could be broken.

You have to make sure you get good connections- solder and shrink tubing absolutely necessary. I have seen quick crimp, wire nuts and electrical tape jobs and the just don't last, and are also dangerous

This video is an awesome guide- this is how I do it minus the dielectric grease. DON'T FORGET TO PUT THE SHRINK TUBING ON BEFORE SODERING! I have made that mistake multiple times....

How to solder

Don't forget to use a fuse for the subwoofer amp, and good luck!
