To add: H/W Part Number 68224531AJ running 16.13.13. Most recent error is: Sys Product Mismatch, stick is VP4 but target is VP3
You definitely have a 2014 RA3/Vp3-NA (non nav or with dealer activated nav).

You need a blank, fat32 formated 16gb thumb drive (cheap SanDisk at Walmart work good), with nothing on it.

You should be using the 2014 Ra3 file for v17.43.x from post 9. Once that zip file is downloaded, verify the md5 checksum matches for a vamos download. Then you unzip the file to your desktop and copy over the 2 files from that folder directly to the root of the drive.

Here's the quote/ details from post 9 along with the detailed instructions PDF link...

(CNET) MD5 Checker 2.31 (creator) or similar
(GET IT! You should check your downloads against MD5’s whenever they’re posted to verify a good download.)
---------------------------------

2014 RA3/VP3-NA (PN: 68224531Ax)
- v17.43.01 Fw Link (removes Dual Cam Support) and Update Directions Link
List of changes: TSB 08-068-18 My13_My14 17.43.01.pdf
MD5: C34A8C97BBF018ACA08E2D5DEAD9CABA

NOTE: The only files that should be on your Fat32 8gb+ Thumbdrive when ready will be "swdl.iso" and "swdl.upd"
---------------------------------

Once that's done, then and only then can you update to v18.45.x from the other Roll-up thread using the file for Ra3/Vp3-NA

Thanks man, I really appreciate the hospitality and help. I was able to 18.45.x. Seems like my primary issue was the size of my thumbdrive or perhaps format? Anyway, working great. Looking forward to reading up on other mods and opportunities to impove the old Ram truck!

I hope I do not repeat a request but I can't find the firmware I need to update my Connect, and I am not the geek on those things , I would have asked a dealer but in Switzerland this is
almost impossible as they import the vehicles but that's it. plus it would be a 350 KM (about 220 miles) drive and then they find out , that they don't know how to do it ....we know how to make cheese , butter and Chocolate but that about it.
I have attached some pictures , maybe this information is what you guys need in order to let me have the update so I have apple car working. Thanks in advance

I followed updates up to v.17 for part number 68224537AF on a 2014 ram from version 14.25.5. Worked well no issues. Updating last version 17 was a little sketchy only because it took longer, to be expected with larger update I suppose, truck auto shut off because it was taking so long but didn’t shut off screen. Is there any point on updating to v18?

Also thanks for making this guide, I’m happy I have Siri control now.

V18.45.x fixes a Y2K style GPS/satellite issue so time sync and GPS location works correctly.

my '18 ram seems to be stuck at 21.11.11, and I think the P/N is CNSC27N5GL. My picture taking skills cut off part of the label.

I'm going to try and update with '18 files this weekend.

My logic is, the LCD is damaged, so... I can't make it much worse. If it bricks, I'm looking at ~$200 more for the whole unit, versus just the LCD.

EDIT: So, I'm a computer guy. I decided to explore the update a little (22.6). The pubkey file, expires on 2048... I don't think anyone is still going to expect our old head units to work by then but... Actually, second thought, the pubkey file should only have to do with the ability for the radio to talk to the cellular towers, and I doubt ATT is going to support early gen 4G in 2048...

Edit 2: I tried the UAC update (the one with maps) on my '18, with the nav in it. Got told 22.6 was not compatible with my 21.11.11 version head unit. I didn't go into dealer/engineer mode, just plugged the drive in.
Can't figure out how to edit my old post. My '18 Ram 8.4 is running 39.4 now. The 28.x update installed while 22.6 didn't, but 28.x was VERY unstable. 39.4 (or w/e the "latest" we had in Septemberish) has been running flawlessly for me for months. Other than the darn busted screen. Which unfortunantly with the new AA interface, I can't navigate properly with the music pane open, as the dead columns are right where it puts the indicator. Or in "full" screen mode, I lose the ETA or mileage. (Work has me in a Silverado, so the Ram is now my toy versus my daily... Oh what plans I have now thanks to all of you guys!)
