Thats pretty pricey for something thats not vehicle specific. If you're looking for something at half the cost and vehicle specific look at

If my iPhone is already wireless charging compatible do I need to use their magnets on my case?

Thanks. I look forward to the update. I just got the wife a new car and hers has the wireless charging mat from factory. It’s a nice feature to just lay your phone down and it charges.

Just in case you don't find what you're looking for...this is where I installed mine.

I have a center floor console (bucket seats) so I don’t have that trim piece.

I would install mine here:

So no you do not have to use the magnets. Installed everything today and the only thing you have to cut is the mat the charging station sits on. Just a little sliver to fit the usb-c through that plugs into the pad. You also have to have the vehicle cranked for it to power on.41DBB127-6F8C-4F09-9A12-A6913643466B.jpeg79C095C1-0EA9-4570-AB1C-0D425DA03476.jpeg

I own one of these chargers. The magnets are used to make the attachment and are designed to not interfere with charging. The kit comes with a selection of magnets and a template for proper magnet placement for your specific phone. If not aligned properly the charging connection may not be made. I find setup more useful than the charging mat as my truck does not have navigation and this provides a safer heads-up position.

That's a great place for the charger. I was also thinking this would be an ideal spot too with the ridged backrest being where the charging coil is.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. The 5th Gens have that as an option, but I can't find a factory option for 4th Gens. I love dropping my phone there, wish I could get wireless charging added.
