Belated condolences on the loss of your Mom (just found this thread, so very belated). Your Mom left you a wonderful car, though. Those old Celicas drift like a dream, if you’re into such things. I’ve gotten older and slower in the reflexes, but I used to love Celicas for that reason back in the day.

Wow....that car will run a long time. I had a 1980 Celica GT, with the 20R engine. Saw yours and thought 20R or 22R. Strong engines! I had over 140K miles on my car when sold. All I did was change the oil, filters, etc. Plus, living in Texas (Houston too! Right off Westheimer on the SW side)

Really is a time capsule. SO sorry for your Mom- they are special!

Man I love that car. I almost bought the hatch version years ago. Man is that clean. Cool that you can keep the car and the memories that come with it.
