So I bought a kit to install my inverter and I'm just coming to the support to see if I messed something up. I posted pictures showing what I got. The thick orange wire goes to the main fuse box by the battery and tested it is getting 12 v. The actual outlet plug..dont mind the blue wires I cut in the middle, I put them in and realized it didn't go there. The spare blue wire in the outlet picture is connected to a 12 v aux switch that I plan on using to turn on the outlet. Anything stick out as to why this would not work? Tired it and I get nothing out of the outlet when connected...I put the blue wire in socket 4.

Is the Kit a factory setup?

Been wanting to add the factory inverter to my tradesman. In AlphaOBD, I presume there are 4 settings that need to be addressed to get it to work. See photo

If you are not familiar with AlphaOBD, it is software that, with an addition of a OBD interface (OBDLink MX+ is preferred) to activate the truck's items. BTW welcome to the '18+ that require a security bypass cable.

Going to the dealer can be hit or miss to change the settings. IIRC, if your level (Tradesman etc) and the inverter is not available from the factory, the dealer can't help you because their software goes by packages and not single items.

Yeah I am going the factory route and I tried turning them all on. I am not sure if they helps because I found there is also a wire that runs from the kick board mount to the ECM. I did not install that wire because the instructions said that was optional.

I haven't done this mod, but personally, when I am doing mods, and I see "optional", I have taken to doing them, as they usually turn out to not be optional...
