Installing a cd player in ram 1500 with 8.4N

Like the title says, I’m interested in installing a CD player in to my 2017 1500 Laramie.
It has the 8.4N (RA4) and didn’t come with one from factory. Did a quick search on the forum and came up empty, just wondering if anyone has done this with any succession?

Yes you can install the Factory CD player in your truck but you'll need to have the code activated in order for it to work.

Why not take the cheaper and easier route of ripping the CDs to MP3 files and put them on a flash drive or SD card? I've got most of my old CD collection on a 64G SD card and still have plenty of room for more.

I put mine on a thumb drive and just leave it plugged in, inside the center console. Works great and easy to use.

I already have all my music on my phone, just a thought I had about the CD player

My truck came with the factory CD player but I dont use it very often. I have all my music on a SD card as well and I like it too. I like it the SD card because it pops in out of the way and can't get bumped like a USB stick. You have a lot more control over the music with the USB or SD card than using the CD player.

to have one like factory your looking at around 500.00.after market kit about the same.functions and is hidden in floor console but no cover and exposed you can get out for about 250.00.last two options you have to drill a 1 1/2 hole in your console bottom compartment.i,ve done all three.since i haven't bought a cd in years and i got rid of the cds i don't listen to i just use a thumb drive.

Nothing special, just one I got from a sales rep at work. Deleted all his files and added mine. Might not be the best sounding to the trained ear, but it sounds good to me.
