Did you press on the carrier bearings or take the carrier to a shop? Are there shims on the carrier bearings?

Just doing my research.

Thanks

Look into a True Trac, the factory limited slip is a bit light duty. There's times a posi isn't really a great option, like on a muddy or icy road,as the diff will lock up and then you're basically t!t$ to the wall if the road makes a sharp bend,as the rear end will try to push the truck straight ahead.
The ZF uses adjusters not shims, and you need the tool to adjust the side play of the ring gear/carrier

Couple video's you can check out listed here.

I built one of those tools years ago. Shop was too cheap to buy so I got busy with a nut, a length of bar and a 1/2 inch drive socket along with a bit of arc welding, it worked like a charm.
