hi i was looking up exhaust all night i got it down to the cherry bomb extreme or the mufflex kit. my question is with the extreme what adapters and clamps will i need when i order. up here in labrador the town is pritty isolated so if i did go with the extreme it be best i had the right adapters and components necessary . i have a length of exhaust pipe to use to bridge the gap with the shorter muffler, any help would be great if its to much ******* around il get the mufflex kit, or if anyone knows whats a real agressive cat back system i may go that route. i been reading on the threads till my face turned blue and still can make a decision haha any help would be greatly aprecieated thank you. cheers!

If you are looking for a very aggressive kit, I would just go with the Mufflex Muffler Delete kit. With you being in Canada, you will appreciate it being all stainless as apposed to the Cherry Bomb, and it will be an easy 30 minute install.

is there much power loss vs a free flowing muffler like the magnaflow 14? also im assuming the trucks computer compensates to loss of back pressure? im running 35 inch tires dont want it if its signifigent power loss haha, but sounds so tempting i will be ordering from your vendor site regardless if u ship to canada, maby 85 or 87mm throttle body aswell no?

I ran around for a day or so w/o my muffler, just removed it.
It sounded great, the cat has plenty of back pressure. I'm sure with a delete kit, still running through the factory pipes and the resonators, it'd sound GREAT!

I'm still 1/2 tempted to do this...

I have the Magnaflow 14" without resonators am feel the truck is too quiet. Would the muffler delete kit be a good option? Anyone have stock cats with muffler delete and no resonators? How's the sound?

Hey man. How's Canada? This is a great read on exhaust by the Hand brothers. They're Pontiac guys, but it all crosses over. :)

i think on a muffler delete and no resonators you will have a loud and kinda raspy sound...imo

thank you haha sooooooo i just realized something... i actually like the mbrp xp cat back but i forgot to factor in my truck has a 1.25 body lift on top of 2.5 inch leveling kit, most of the pics of cat backs i looked at i didnt notice any adjustment on the tailpipes like on stock pipes. very dissapointed with this. i may just go with the mufflex 14 inch if i dont like it il lop off the magnaflow n weld a cherry bomb extreme into the old magnaflow position

Damn you aftermarket tail pipes!!!!!! i actually liked the mbrp n im a picky guy with my exhaust... i just put a mbrp cat back on my girlfriends avalance last week

If there is any doubt it won't be loud enough I would not waste the money. Just go straight for the dodm80 delete. No guess work of pipe adapters and lengths. You'll be able to put it on yourself in about 30 minutes. Our trucks sound awesome with muffler deletes. I love when I'm walking to mine and remote start it and peoples heads turn.

Also gonna add that I have ran mbrp in the past and the mufflex kit is just as good of quality.

yeah im going with muffler delete now i was nervouse about power loss with 35s and 3.55 gears but you all seem to be fine so i said the hell with it, these free flowing mufflers have little to no back pressure anyways i guess, gilrfriends mbrp i installed i looked right threw it end to end , was like a spy glass lol

Yea I have a 5" sitting in the other room. There is absolutely nothing to stop flow except little dimples around it. IT actually made a huge difference in sound on my old diesel though.

Glad you went with the delete. I don't think you will regret it. I sure don't. You may lose a little bottom end but mine picked up some around 3300 it will put you back in the seat even on 37s and 3.55s
