Im putting the bilstein 5100s into my 12 ram tomorrow and everyone is saying that you need a good spring compressor to do it and then its easy. So im gonna rent one from a store but im not sure which type. They have a coil spring compressor and a strut spring compressor and im not sure which one i need lol THANKSSSS help if you could.

I think it's the strut spring compressor you need. You need the one that's external because the shock will be in the center of the spring.

alright thanks thats what someone else just told me to. Just gonna ask them at the place if they have any clue

Yeah, I had to take mine back and get the others. Never thought to look before I left, but I told them what I needed. :doh2:

Yep, it's the McPherson strut spring compressor. If you rent from O'Reillys, the part number is 67051. Looks like this:
